Texas A&M coach Mike Elko and his team have been diligently preparing for the 2025 season by enhancing the roster via the transfer portal. Meanwhile, many of the promising recruits from the 2025 signing class have already arrived in College Station in anticipation of the spring football season.
Still, the 2026 recruiting class is the main priority this month. Elko and his coaching staff have locked down several key official visits, including five-star athlete Brandon Arrington, who remains a priority prospect. Earlier this month, Arrington placed Texas A&M in his Top 12 program list, joining Alabama, Penn State, Michigan, USC, Florida State, UCLA, Georgia, Oregon, LSU, Oklahoma, and Nebraska.
On Tuesday, Rivals’ Adam Gorney reported that Arrington will officially visit Texas A&M on June 5-7 before heading to USC on June 17-18. This is big news for the Aggies, who are directly competing with Alabama, and head coach Kalen DeBoer.
During his 2023 sophomore season, Arrington recorded 310 receiving yards, four touchdowns on offense, 25 tackles on defense, and a punt return touchdown on special teams. At the next level, Arrington could play at cornerback or wide receiver due to his speed and athleticism.
Arrington’s exceptional athleticism showcases a player who effectively outmaneuvers defenders, either by beating man coverage from the start or by evading linebackers during reverse handoffs, making significant forward progress with impressive strides toward the end zone.
According to 247Sports, Arrington is currently the 25th-ranked prospect in the 2026 cycle, the second-ranked athlete, and the fourth-ranked prospect in California.
