4-star Georgia, Alabama recruiting target moves back commitment date

Four-star cornerback recruit Jorden Edmonds has pushed back his commitment date. Edmonds was previously scheduled to commit on Feb. 19, which is his birthday.

Edmonds, who is a member of the class of 2026, plays high school football for Sprayberry High School in Marietta, Georgia. 247Sports projects him to commit to the Alabama Crimson Tide, but now fans will have to wait to hear his commitment. Edmonds did not set a future decision date. His top schools remain the Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, Oklahoma Sooners, Tennessee Volunteers and Alabama.

Edmonds is ranked as the No. 53 player in the country, the No. 5 cornerback and No. 4 recruit in Georgia, according 247Sports. The 6-foot-3, 175-pound cornerback has visited the University of Georgia several times and may take official visits over the spring and summer before deciding on his college future.

Head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia football have five commitments in the class of 2026. UGA has the No. 13 recruiting class in the nation including commitments from a pair of four-star defensive backs in cornerback Jontavius Wyman and four-star Zech Fort.
