Top Ranked WR in 2026 class locks in official visit to Oregon

The Oregon Ducks’ 2026 recruiting class has been off to a historic start, with the No. 1 ranking in the nation and a good chance to be the best class in program history when all is said and done.

As of mid-February, Dan Lanning and his staff have already landed commitments from seven of the top 200 players in the nation, and a great chance to land a handful of 5-star players ranked inside the top 10 as well.

One of those players, 5-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr., recently announced his official visit schedule for the summer, and he locked in a date to get out to Eugene. Henry will come to see the Ducks on his OV from June 13-15. That should be a big weekend for Oregon, as 5-star ATH Brandon Arrington is also scheduled to visit, and more will undoubtedly join over the coming months.

Henry is a major prospect for the Ducks in this cycle, rated as the No. 1 WR in the nation and the No. 6 overall player. Standing at 6-foot-5, 205 pounds, he has an elite frame and can be a dynamic receiver both out wide and in the redzone.

Henry has been committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes since the summer of 2023, but that hasn’t stopped the Ducks from recruiting him heavily. Over the past year, Henry has been on campus in Eugene a number of times, but this next visit will be crucial since Oregon has had a change at WR coach with Junior Adams leaving to join the Dallas Cowboys coaching staff. The Ducks hired Syracuse Orange WR coach Ross Douglas to replace him, and a strong relationship needs to be built between Douglas and Henry if the Ducks are to pull off a flip.
