Louisiana’s 2026 high school recruiting class is a good one. There’s a good chance the state ends up with several five-stars, including interior offensive lineman Lamar Brown.
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Brown is the No. 11 ranked recruit in the country and the top ranked player at his position. 247Sports and ESPN rank Brown as the top recruit in Louisiana.
Per a recent report from On3, LSU is the leader in the clubhouse.
“LSU is a little above A&M at No. 1,” Brown told On3.
Brown’s comment comes a few months after Brown said Texas A&M was in poll position. Brian Kelly and staff have built momentum on the recruiting trail since then and it’s paid off with Brown.
Brown plays for University Lab High School in Baton Rouge. The Tigers don’t want to see a five-star offensive linemen leave their own backyard.
LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis is one of the top recruiters in the country, especially when it comes to recruiting linemen in Louisiana. The Tigers already have two Louisiana linemen in the 2026 class after earning commitments from Brysten Martinez and Jalen Chapman.
According to On3, LSU’s 2026 recruiting class ranks No. 3 in the country and is the best class in the SEC. There’s a long way to go, but Kelly is on his way towards landing another top 10 class at LSU.
