A recent salary analysis shows that Nebraska women’s volleyball coach Dani Busboom Kelly is the highest-paid volleyball coach in the Big Ten Conference. According to information Lincoln Arneal of Huskers Illustrated released earlier this week, her salary tops at $700,000. Second in line is Wisconsin Badgers head coach Kelly Sheffield, who makes $625,000.
Busboom Kelly is returning home to Nebraska, where she was the libero on the 2006 national championship team. She has made her mark in the coaching ranks with the Louisville Cardinals. She led the program to its first-ever Final Four appearance in 2021 and the national championship match in 2022.
Busboom Kelly was officially announced as the Nebraska volleyball coach on January 29, shortly after coaching legend John Cook retired. Nebraska volleyball will be looking to build on its success last season. The team finished 33-3 on the year, including a 19-1 conference record. The program made it all the way to the NCAA semifinals, where it was defeated by the Penn State Nittany Lions.
