Michigan football is essentially in a holding pattern for the moment as it pertains to 2026 recruiting. The Wolverines have two commitments at the moment with cornerback Brody Jennings and wide receiver Jaylen Pile pledged, but they likely won’t add to the class at least until more prospects make their unofficial visits over the spring.
With spring practice set to begin in less than a month, the maize and blue are lining up some big visits, particularly over the March 21-22 weekend — just one month from now.
On3 recruiting reporters EJ Holland and Ethan McDowell have been all over confirming visits for the highly-coveted prospects that Michigan is bringing in. Here are some of the names they’ve confirmed:
March 21
March 22
Nixa (Mo.) five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell
Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star edge Jake Kreul
Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star offensive lineman Breck Kolojay
Michigan cornerback commit Brody Jennings
Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban offensive lineman Sam Greer
With the two Michigan commits set to be there over that weekend, that will certainly help the Wolverines push for those who are as of yet uncommitted.
Michigan already has several signees from IMG Academy — linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng, running back Donovan Johnson, and center Kaden Strayhorn — which should help with Kruel and Kolojay. The Wolverines’ last pledge from Archbishop Hoban was former OL Nolan Rumler. Cantwell has been on campus before, and the maize and blue are in his top six, but are still in a battle with many top schools across the country, including Ohio State, which he’ll visit the day before.
