The Georgia Bulldogs are predicted to land a commitment from four-star in-state running back recruit Jae Lamar. Recruiting expert Benjamin Wolk of 247Sports recently projected Lamar to commit to Georgia over other top college football programs.
Lamar plays high school football for Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia. The 6-foot, 205-pound running back is the No. 127 recruit in the class of 2026. Lamar is the No. 14 running back nationally and No. 19 prospect in Georgia.
Lamar could become the next running back to play for the Bulldogs. Georgia has already been aggressively pursuing several of the top running back prospects in the 2026 recruiting cycle. However, UGA currently does not have running back commitment in the class of 2026. Georgia has five total commitments and the No. 14 ranked class in the 2026 cycle.
Lamar is also considering the Auburn Tigers and Miami Hurricanes. Lamar took visits to UGA, Auburn, Florida and Miami this winter. He has planned spring visits with Georgia (May 30), Auburn (May 16) and Miami (June 13). Lamar’s cousin, Ny Carr, is a Miami Hurricanes signee, so the Hurricanes are another school to watch.
