Four Bucks County football standouts named to East rosters for PSFCA all-star game

Four area players have been named to the East rosters for the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association (PSFCA) all-star game in May.

Neshaminy’s Connor Frederick, Central Bucks South’s Nick Micewski and CB East’s Brody Wojnicki were selected to play in the big-school game while Morrisville’s Raymond Holman was named to the small-school roster for the East.

Central Bucks South offensive lineman Nick Micewski blocks Central Bucks West defensive end Zachary Szabo in a football game, Friday, September 20, 2024, at Central Bucks South in Warrington.

The East vs. West All-Star Games will take place on Sunday, May 18 at Cumberland Valley High School’s Chapman Field in Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County.

The small-school game (featuring players from Class A, AA and AAA programs) will begin at noon while the big-school game (with players from Class 4A, 5A and 6A rosters) begins at 5 p.m.

The PSFCA East-West All-Star Game was created in 2001 to provide more athletes the chance to showcase their talents at a high level.

Originally inspired by the Big 33 Game, which pits Pennsylvania’s top players against Maryland’s, the PSFCA East-West game offers a platform for athletes who might otherwise be overlooked due to the limited roster size of the Big 33 Game.

Frederick, a tight end who will play at East Stroudsburg University, Micewski, an offensive lineman who will play at West Chester University, and Holman, a running back who will play at Morgan State University, were all first-team Courier Times/Intelligencer selections last season.

Wojnicki will help handle the kicking and punting chores for the East side.

The East won the big-school game 15-14 last year while the West won the small-school matchup 27-24.
