Georgia Bulldogs rising sophomore safety KJ Bolden has been named as college football player that will become a superstar in 2025 according to 247Sports. Bolden is the next standout in the secondary player in 2025.
The Bulldogs are looking to reload on defense in the safety room following the departure of Malaki Starks. Bolden was a very important piece in his first season where he was essentially a third starting safety alongside Dan Jackson and Malaki Starks.
Bolden enters the spring as a leader for the 2025 Georgia defense. He accounted for 59 total tackles, one forced fumble, and one interception in his first season of college football. This spring will be critical for his development on vocal leadership as Kirby Smart and Glenn Schumann will lean on him and Daylen Everette to lead the secondary.
Bolden is the one of four SEC defenders that 247Sports’ Chris Hummer projects will “emerge as superstars in 2025” along with Alabama’s LT Overton, Texas’ Anthony Hill Jr., and Ole Miss’ Suntarine Perkins. Interestingly, Georgia and Bolden will play against Alabama, Ole Miss, and Texas at home this year. So we’ll see what the safety will do in those big stake games as he looks to take the next step this fall.
247Sports also predicts that Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton will become a superstar this fall.
