Is MSU Football looking to add another QB to its 2026 class?

A three-star quarterback prospect from Louisiana has locked in an official visit to Michigan State this summer.

Dezyrian Ellis of Winnsboro, La. has scheduled an official visit to Michigan State for June 13. Ellis took to social media platform X to announce his upcoming official visit to East Lansing, Mich.

Ellis ranks as the No. 21 athlete in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2026 class. He is also listed as the No. 12 player from Louisiana and No. 453 overall prospect in the class.

Ellis is listed as a three-star prospect and holds a rating of 89 on 247Sports.

Michigan State is one of seven schools to offer Ellis, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from LSU, West Virginia, Tulane, Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss and Southern.

Michigan State already has one quarterback commit for the 2026 class in Kayd Coffman of Grand Rapids, Mich. So it’ll be interesting to see if Ellis is being pursued by the Spartans as a quarterback or another position.
