While Notre Dame football has a huge family feel to it, quarterback CJ Carr and his brother, Tommy, will not spend time together in college, at least right now.
The younger Carr, a 6-foot, 3-inch and 185-pound quarterback in the class of 2026, committed to the Miami RedHawks on Friday morning. He isn’t the prospect his brother was; he is the nation’s No. 575 overall prospect and No. 36 quarterback on the 247Sports composite.
The Irish never offered Tommy. He had five reported offers ahead of making his decision. The best of those offers was from Iowa State, which clearly wasn’t the choice for the quarterback.
At the moment, the two teams are not scheduled to play each other, so they’ll have to root each other on from afar.
Congrats to Tommy on his commitment, and we will surely be watching to see how he develops.
