The Oregon Ducks have been in a great position when it comes to the recruitment of 5-star quarterback Jared Curtis, and that was emphasized on Saturday when the No. 1 ranked QB in the 2026 class named his top two schools.
Curtis announced on Saturday that he is down to the Georgia Bulldogs and Oregon Ducks in his recruitment right now. Earlier in his recruitment, Curtis was committed to Georgia, but he backed off that commitment over the last few months and opened things back up.
Curtis is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 2 overall player in the 2026 class, and the No. 1 QB in the nation. He has been high on the Ducks for quite some time now, saying a few months back that Oregon is leading the way in his recruitment.
This is notable, considering that Oregon’s lone QB commit in the 2026 class, 4-star Jonas Williams, flipped his commitment to the USC Trojans on Friday, leaving the Ducks without a committed passer in this class.
Oregon is also high on the list for 5-star QB Ryder Lyons in the 2026 class, so they have options in this cycle should they want them.
As it currently stands, Oregon has the No. 1 recruiting class in the 2026 cycle, highlighted by TE Kendre Harrison, OT Kodi Green, and RB Tradarian Ball.
