This week, scouts, coaches, and general managers will get an up-close look at some of the top prospects in college football at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Many of the NCAA standouts are already well-known athletes, but some of the more underrated players will rise or fall on draft boards depending on how they test during drills at the combine.
Though head-turning combine performances don’t always translate into NFL success, the workouts provide teams with valuable baseline metrics that help them assess which prospects might fit best in a given system.
Scouting is a difficult process, and while the drills run at the combine are an imperfect way to measure a player’s athletic ability, the event is a tried and true method of separating top prospects from their less polished peers.
