Vanderbilt football will hold its spring game on April 12 at FirstBank Stadium, the program announced in a release Monday.
The scrimmage will be held at 1 p.m. CT at FirstBank Stadium, which is the first time since 2022 that the program has been able to hold a spring game there. In 2023 and 2024, the game was held at Vanderbilt’s soccer and lacrosse stadium due to construction at FirstBank Stadium.
Several college football teams have opted not to hold a spring game in 2025 due to concerns over transfer portal tampering or due to stadium construction. Vanderbilt has played at FirstBank Stadium despite construction since 2023, with renovations expected to be completed in time for the 2025 season.
The spring transfer portal window runs from April 16-25.
Vanderbilt said that details on the broadcast of the spring game will be available at a later date.
The Commodores are returning star quarterback Diego Pavia for 2025 after he got a court ruling allowing him to not count two years at a junior college towards NCAA eligibility. Tight end Eli Stowers is also returning for 2025 despite being an NFL draft prospect. Pavia and Stowers helped to lead Vanderbilt to a 7-6 record and an upset win over Alabama in 2024.
