Former Hilltoppers standout Jon Kahle named head football coach at Marquette University High School

Brookfield Academy head football coach Jon Kahle was officially named to the same role at Marquette University High School on Monday, according to a press release from the school.

Kahle, a 2000 graduate of Marquette, played football for the Hilltoppers under Wisconsin Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame member Dick Basham and as a wide receiver won a WISAA state title in 1999, which was the last WISAA title for the Hilltoppers before transitioning to the WIAA. Kahle’s brothers Chris and Tim also played football for the program.

“I am honored to return to my alma mater and lead the Hilltoppers football program,” Kahle said. “MUHS has a rich tradition of excellence in athletics, academics, and shaping young men of character and leadership. I look forward to building on that legacy by fostering a culture of hard work, teamwork, and personal growth, both on and off the field.”

Kahle departs Brookfield Academy after 12 seasons at the helm for the Blue Knights, resulting in 11 playoff appearances. He also served as the high school’s athletic director in that same span.

The former Hilltoppers wideout takes over for Keith Klestinski, who announced prior to this past season that he would be stepping down as coach.
