Four-star quarterback locks in official visit with LSU

LSU football is in the mix for one of the top quarterbacks in the 2026 recruiting class. According to On3, quarterback Bowe Bentley has locked in a visit with LSU.

Along with LSU, Bentley plans to visit Oklahoma, Ohio State, Florida, and Georgia.

LSU’s 2026 recruiting class is one of the best in the country, but the Tigers have yet to add a quarterback. The QB position is high on the wishlist after LSU missed five-star Bryce Underwood in the 2025 cycle. The Tigers signed Mississippi State transfer Michael Van Buren, but LSU doesn’t want to go two straight years without adding a blue-chip high school quarterback.

On3 and ESPN both rank Bentley as a top-six quarterback in the class. The Texas native is the No. 10 overall ranked passer in the On3 Industry Rankings. Bentley’s lowest ranking is at Rivals, where he sits as the No. 16 quarterback.

Bentley’s visit to LSU will come on March 15.

As we approach the spring and summer months, 2026 recruiting classes will begin to take shape. Most top prospects are looking to lock in their commitments before the fall.
