The offers didn’t stop flowing for Notre Dame football after a weekend of new ones, as they once again went to Ohio and have now given a scholarship to 2026 safety Kaden Gebhardt.
The 6-foot, 2-inch and 200-pounder is considered as a very solid player, ranking as the No. 398 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Gebhardt fits the mold that the Irish look for in a defender of the back end of their defense.
While he has already scheduled multiple official visits, Notre Dame has now entered the mix for one down the line. At the current moment, Gebhardt will see Penn State, Ohio State, and Clemson in the spring, with room for others to see as well.
The hope is that the offer has peaked his interest in the Irish, as many players have sped up the process due almost all of them signing during the early period. For Notre Dame to have a legit chance with Gebhardt, they’ll have to get him on campus for an official. Time will tell if that is the case, but it’s clear the Irish want him in their 2026 class.
