Top 2026 TE Mark Bowman schedules official visit with the Oregon Ducks

The Oregon Ducks have built early momentum in the upcoming recruiting cycle, currently holding the No. 2 class of 2026 according to 247Sports. Dan Lanning and his staff have received commitments from nine players so far, seven of whom are blue-chip recruits, and the Ducks are doing all they can to carry their recruiting momentum forward.

On Monday, On3Sports recruiting insider Chad Simmons reported that Mark Bowman, a 4-star tight end from Santa Ana, California, has scheduled an official visit for Jun. 20th with the Oregon Ducks. Bowman will also be visiting the Texas Longhorns and Georgia Bulldogs in June according to Simmons, and the USC Trojans according to 247Sports.

Although he isn’t rated by On3Sports or 247Sports as a 5-star, Bowman is one of the top players in the class of 2026. Standing tall at 6 feet four inches and 225 pounds, 247Sports ranks him as the No. 1 TE in his class. Bowman attends Mater Dei High School, one of the premier high school football teams in America and the alma mater of several current Ducks.

Bowman has already taken a visit with the Oregon Ducks, making his way to Eugene on an unofficial visit last October for Oregon’s game against Ohio State. That night, Oregon showcased an environment like no other, which likely played a role in other recruit’s decisions to come to Oregon, such as Na’eem Offord.

Oregon is set at the tight end position for 2025, but if Kenyon Sadiq has a strong enough season next fall, he may forgo his final year of eligibility in 2026 and head for the NFL. If that’s how things play out, Oregon would be left without much experience in the tight end room, which could offer young guys like Bowman the opportunity to make an early impact if he lands in Eugene.
