Which Big Ten football teams return the most production entering the 2025 season

The 2024 offseason has finally died down, and as we wait for the spring transfer portal to open and possible changes to the College Football Playoff, we can start looking at projections for the 2025 season.

ESPN’s Bill Connelly releases his annual returning production rankings. Returning production is key in determining which teams are veteran-heavy and likely set up for the big season. Connelly uses returning production, recruiting, and recent history to form his SP+ projections. Illinois is a prime example of a substantial returning production number in the Big Ten.
