One LSU football commit is flying up the recruiting rankings.
Earlier this week, On3 released a brand new On300 rankings for the 2026 recruiting class. Future LSU wide receiver went from unranked to being the No. 182 ranked player in the country. Darby was already a blue-chip on other sites, but now he gets his flowers from On3.
Darby is rated a four-star prospect by On3’s Industry Rankings. He is the No. 7 prospect in Louisiana and No. 25 at his position, choosing his home state school over five other SEC offers.
The Tigers received Darby’s commitment in November 2024 and he called the school “WRU” because of its knack for producing NFL wide receivers, such as Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr.
On January 25, Darby told on3’s Hayes Fawcett that his recruitment was shutdown and he was sticking with LSU. The six-foot, 175 pounder will play his last season of high school football at Airline in Bossier City, LA before heading to Baton Rouge.
LSU’s 2026 recruiting class ranks No. 3 in the country. The Tigers have six commits, five of which are blue-chip players.
