LSU Football’s Brad Davis was named one of the top recruiters in the 2025 cycle, according to On3’s Steve Wiltfong.
The offensive line coach was one of ten assistant coaches recognized. Out of the SEC, Tennessee’s Rodney Garner, Alabama’s Chris Kapilovic, Georgia’s James Coley and Texas’ Blake Gideon.
Davis was the only LSU coach retained when Brian Kelly arrived to take over the head coaching role. Following Ed Orgeron’s departure after the 2021 regular season, Davis stepped in as the interim head coach during the Tigers’ Texas Bowl appearance.
On the recruiting trail, Davis helped secure commitments from blue-chip offensive linemen Carius Curne, Soloman Thomas, and Tyler Miller in the 2025 high school class. LSU had the nation’s top transfer portal class in 2025, thanks in part to Davis’ recruitment of Braelin Moore and Josh Thompson.
Davis was instrumental in the recruitment of top 10 NFL prospect Will Campbell among other offensive line standouts. With quarterback Garrett Nussmeier returning for a second year as the starter and Davis’ unit remaining talented across the board, LSU is poised for a big year on the offensive end.
