Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks added another blue-chip member to the 2026 recruiting class early on Wednesday morning, picking up a verbal commitment from 4-star safety Xavier Lherisse.
From Melbourne, Fla., Lherisse chose Oregon over the likes of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Auburn Tigers. He stands at 5-foot-10, 185 pounds, and is the 10th member of the Ducks’ 2026 class.
Lherisse is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 407 overall player in the 2026 class, and No. 33 safety in the nation. He is the seventh defensive player that the Ducks have grabbed in the class, but the first member of the secondary.
With the addition of Lherisse, Oregon still stands at No. 2 in the recruiting rankings, behind only the USC Trojans, who managed to flip former Ducks’ 4-star QB commit Jonas Williams earlier this month. The Ducks are still in a great position to add to the class over the coming weeks, with high-end players like 5-star QB Jared Curtis and 5-star OT Jackson Cantwell set to take their visits and potentially commit soon.
