Vanderbilt football and coach Clark Lea have a new offensive tackle in South Dakota transfer Bryce Henderson, according to a report from On3.com.
Henderson, a 6-foot-8, 320-pound right tackle from North Aurora, Illinois, started all 14 games for the Coyotes in 2024 and was named second team All-Missouri Valley Conference. He has one season of eligibility remaining.
Henderson helped block for an offense that was second in tackles for loss allowed in the country with 2.93 per game, sixth in rushing offense with 215.9 yards per game and total offense with 436.9 yards per game. The Coyotes’ offense posted six games with 500 yards or more of total yards in 2024 with a season-best 622 yards against Indiana State.
At South Dakota, Henderson played a total of 12 games at left guard then moved to right tackle where he played a total of 23 games.
The Coyotes went 11-3 in 2024 and ended the season with a 31-17 loss to Montana State in the FCS semifinals against eventual national runner-up Montana State.
The Commodores went 7-6 in 2024, ending with a 35-27 win over Georgia Tech in the Birmingham Bowl.
