Another Holland quarterback is headed to the MIAA.
A couple weeks after Holland High School quarterback Amari Powell committed to Calvin University, Holland Christian quarterback Evan Abberger has committed to Kalamazoo College.
Both quarterbacks were honorable mention all-state selections in the fall.
“I chose Kalamazoo because I really fell in love with their culture and their coaching staff,” Abberger said. “I am very excited to get a great degree from Kalamazoo as well as compete on the football field.”

Abberger threw for 2,200 yards and 25 touchdowns with just four interceptions as a senior.
Holland Christian’s Evan Abberger has made his college decision.
He will follow the footsteps of his brother, Ethan Abberger, who plays at Adrian.
“I have always wanted to play college football, so just this opportunity is a gift from God,” Evan Abberger said. “At Kalamazoo, I want to compete at the highest level I can and win conference championships.”
