The New Orleans Saints will have multiple of their new coaches in attendance for the 2025 LSU Football Coaches Clinic. The list of attending coaches includes Kellen Moore, Doug Nussmeier, and Brandon Staley from the Saints, among others from the LSU staff including Brian Kelly, Michael Desormeaux, and Jon Sumrall. These coaches will all have the chance to work with high school coaches both from local schools as well as all around the nation.
The event will take place from Thursday, March 20 to Saturday, March 22, with sessions running from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. This gives high school coaches the chance to get to know what the collegiate and professional landscapes are like, and allows them to meet some of the coaches at each level who can provide them with information and help improve their knowledge. According to WBRZ.com, the event includes “practice viewing, discussions and keynote addresses”.
This is a phenomenal chance for the new Saints hires to get acquainted with a local University and their coaching staff, and potentially make some connections down the road by watching practices. With Doug Nussmeier as the Saints offensive coordinator attending, and his son Garrett Nussmeier being the quarterback of LSU at the moment, maybe this links the team even more to that potential draft selection.
Aside from speculation, it is a great opportunity for all involved no doubt. The link to register can be found here on the LSU Tigers website.
