The Eagles promoted Kevin Patullo to offensive coordinator after Kellen Moore departed to take the Saints’ head coaching position.

Before arriving at Syracuse, Campanile spent five seasons at Rutgers, serving in numerous roles, including interim stints as head coach and offensive coordinator. A Paramus Catholic graduate with strong ties across New Jersey, Campanile was an accomplished high school coach before joining the Scarlet Knights, with stints at national powerhouses Bergen Catholic and Don Bosco Prep.

Campanile joined Rutgers for the 2018 season as the running backs coach before pivoting to tight ends at the start of the 2019 campaign. He’d finish the year as the interim head coach and was the playcaller for the final eight games of that season.

In 2024, during his first season playing under Companile, former Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord led the country in passing yards with 4,779, which also set a single-season record for Syracuse and ACC quarterbacks. McCord also holds the record for single-season touchdowns at Syracuse with 29 in the regular season (34 total). In his single season at Syracuse, he finished with a 66% completion rate and 12 interceptions (five of those in the Orange’s game against Pitt). He also finished in the top 10 in Heisman voting this year and was named a Manning Award finalist.
