Bill Belichick, UNC offer Georgia football commit

Bill Belichick and the North Carolina Tar Heels are in hot pursuit of another big recruit. With UNC off to a great start in the 2026 class, they have their eyes on a lot more recruits and even some that are committed to other programs.

One player North Carolina has their eyes on is a four-star defensive back in Jontavius Wyman. The Jonesboro, Georgia native is committed to Georgia, making his verbal back in July of 2024. But that hasn’t stopped other programs from pursuing him, including UNC.

The Tar Heels officially entered the race for Wyman earlier in the week, offering the talented defensive back.

North Carolina isn’t the only program after the Georgia commit, either. Miami, USC, and Auburn are others that are looking to flip him per 247Sports before the cycle eventually ends.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Wyman is ranked No. 162 nationally, the No. 14 DB and the No. 21 player in the state of Georgia per the 247Sports composite rankings.
