The recruiting landscape always leads to fans of programs clamoring after the best five-star and four-star prospects in the class.
How about the guys who aren’t ranked quite that high, though?
Every cycle, plenty of three-star recruits should be ranked higher and don’t get the coverage they rightly deserve. We decided to take a look at some of those guys.

Favour Akih
School: Rutherford B. Hayes (Delaware, Ohio)

Summary: Trending heavily towards Miami, Akih is coming off of a monster junior season. He finished the season rushing for 1,653 yards and 15 touchdowns on 236 carries, averaging seven yards per carry.
Dereon Coleman
School: Jones (Orlando, Fla.)
Position: Quarterback
Commitment: Miami
Summary: Coleman was instrumental in leading the Fightin’ Tigers to a 14-1 record and a state championship appearance. He finished his junior season completing 73% of his passes for 3,412 yards and 28 touchdowns with only four interceptions. On the ground, he added 455 more yards and four touchdowns.
Ebenezer Ewetade
School: South Garner (Garner, N.C.)
Position: EDGE
Commitment: Uncommitted
Summary: Ewetade exploded on the recruiting scene after a breakout junior season. Holding offers from several notable programs like Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and Notre Dame, the 6-foot-4, 221-pounder accounted for 82 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 27 quarterback hurries, 10 sacks and four forced fumbles.
Tyriq Green
School: Buford (Ga.)
Position: Athlete
Commitment: Uncommitted
