LSU football’s offensive line will look different in 2025. Will Campbell and Emery Jones held both tackle spots for three years. Now, both are off to the NFL after declaring for the draft. On the interior, LSU is losing Garrett Dellinger and Miles Frazier. It’s a lot of change for one offseason, especially after the continuity LSU benefitted from in 2023 and 2024.
LSU feels good about its offense with senior quarterback Garrett Nussmeier returning, sophomore running back Caden Durham, and a handful of explosive wide receivers. The question is up-front.
LSU landed two key offensive line transfers, but the Tigers will be inexperienced elsewhere on the unit. LSU is counting on a couple of its top offensive line recruits to have a breakout campaign.
Today, we’ll look at who LSU trusts at the right tackle position. Jones gave LSU consistent production there. Replacing it won’t be easy.

Thompson is a shoe-in to start, we just don’t know where. He’s a veteran and at Northwestern, he played right guard and right tackle. Per On3, Thompson was the No. 23 ranked transfer in the 2025 portal class.
Thanks to his versatility, Thompson’s position at LSU may depend on where LSU trusts its younger players to play.
If LSU has two young guards it trusts, Thompson will play tackle. If Tyree Adams and Weston Davis emerge as options at tackle, Thompson will play guard.
