Georgia football offers elite Texas high school QB recruit

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to four-star quarterback recruit Bowe Bentley, who is a member of the class of 2026.

Bentley won a 4A state championship in Texas during the 2024 high school football season with Celina High School (Celina, Texas). Bentley was named as the offensive MVP of the state championship. Bentley threw five touchdowns in the state title to cap a perfect 16-0 season.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound quarterback has been a fast riser in the recruiting rankings. Bentley is currently ranked as the No. 10 quarterback prospect in the country, per the 247Sports Composite. The Celina standout is the No. 151 recruit in the class of 2026 and the No. 18 prospect in Texas.

Georgia football is targeting multiple quarterback recruits in the class of 2026. Most notably, Georgia is in the top two for five-star quarterback Jared Curtis, who was previously committed to UGA. However, Bentley is good insurance if Curtis elects to commit to the Oregon Ducks over the Georgia Bulldogs.

Celina’s Bowe Bentley runs the ball during the 4A DI UIL Texas State Football Championship game against Kilgore on Friday, December 20, 2024 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Bentley played at the Navy All-American Bowl and put up monster stats as a junior in high school. In 2024, Bentley posted 63 total touchdowns (47 passing, 16 rushing) and 4,266 total yards (3,330 passing, 933 rushing) en route to a state championship.

Head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia are still looking for their first quarterback commitment in the class of 2026.
