Alabama softball’s perfect 5-0 outing at the 2025 T-Mobile Crimson Classic saw it move up one spot in national polls.
In the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll that was released on Tuesday, the Crimson Tide moved up from No. 22 to No. 21.
Alabama went undefeated on the weekend, opening play with a pair of run-rule victories over UAB, 15-1, and Furman, 12-2, to set a school-record for six consecutive run-rule victories. The Crimson Tide then took down SIUE, 7-4, and run-ruled Furman, 8-0, on Saturday, closing out play with a 6-3 come-from-behind win over UAB on Sunday.
Alabama is one of 13 Southeastern Conference teams in the poll, alongside Oklahoma (1), Texas (2), Florida (3), Texas A&M (4), LSU (4), Tennessee (8), Arkansas (T-10), South Carolina (T-10), Georgia (14), Auburn (17), Mississippi State (22) and Ole Miss (25).
Alabama had a midweek contest at Samford on Tuesday afternoon before returning to Rhoads Stadium to host the Spring Break Showdown between Friday and Saturday. The Crimson Tide will host a field of Louisiana and Iowa, making it a homecoming for former Alabama assistant coach Alyson Habetz.
