A Georgia football assistant coach received a considerable boost in pay at the start of February.
Outside linebackers coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe’s total compensation grew to $700,000 annually, up from $628,000, according to information released by Georgia on Thursday and obtained by the Athens Banner-Herald in an open records request.
Uzo-Diribe, 32, is entering his fourth season on coach Kirby Smart’s staff.
Uzo-Diribe becomes the ninth assistant coach on the Bulldogs’ staff to be paid at least $700,000 this year. That includes wide receivers coach James Coley, whose pay increased to $850,000 on Jan. 1 from $650,000, according to terms of his contract.
Uzo-Diribe was ranked the SEC’s No. 15 recruiter in the 2025 cycle by 247Sports.
The Bulldogs signed three players in the 2025 class that he was credited with landing, including 5-star edge rusher Isaiah Gibson from Warner Robins. The previous class included 5-star Joseph Jonah-Ajonye.
Uzo-Diribe coached Nolan Smith in 2022 in his final Georgia season before he was a first-round pick of the Eagles.
Georgia also disclosed the salaries of two new support staffers.
Quality control coordinator Bryson Allen-Williams will make $90,000 and assistant quality control coordinator Tyler Hatcher will be paid $43,888.
