Former New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Terron Armstead has been immortalized in the Senior Bowl Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Armstead is a part of a five-person class that includes Richard Sherman, Geno Atkins, Alex Mack and Jon Gruden. Between these five men there are 25 Pro Bowl teams, 12 All-Pro selections and two Super Bowl rings.
The pre-draft process was extremely important for Armstead. The offensive tackle was coming from Arkansas Pine-Bluff, and games like the East-West Shrine Bowl and Senior Bowl hold a heavy weight in the evaluation of small school players. There is a constant doubt and questioning of players who didn’t play at the FBS level.

Armstead went on to be the 75th overall selection. A big part of why he was able to make it that high is the all-star games. Armstead said, it gave him, “the eyes and exposure I needed” coming out of college. He participated in both events and excelled, proving to scouts he wasn’t a product of playing at a lower subdivision cemented him as a Day 2 selection. The Senior Bowl immediately followed the Shrine Bowl, and Armstead called the former “the final stamp of validity” he felt he needed. This was validity to himself as well as validity to evaluators.
12 years later, Armstead doesn’t need any more validity, but there is nothing more final than the honor of being a part of a Hall of Fame class.
