The Big 12 announced its annual all-conference and individual award winners, and Iowa State men’s basketball has four representatives among the stacked conference’s best.
Curtis Jones led the Cyclones as an All-Big 12 first-team selection and the conference’s Sixth Man of the Year. Joshua Jefferson landed on both the All-Big 12 second team and the conference’s All-Newcomer team. Keshon Gilbert and Tamin Lipsey were tabbed third-team All-Big 12 honorees. Lipsey was also chosen as a member of the Big 12 All-Defensive Team.
Jones, a 6-foot-4 senior, enjoyed a career-best year. He led the Cyclones with 17.0 points per game, while shooting 42.1% overall and 36.6% from deep. The standout sixth man also averaged 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game.

Jefferson made an immediate impact after transferring in from Saint Mary’s. The versatile big man averaged 12.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.1 steals per game, while shooting 50.9%.
Lipsey became the school’s all-time leader in steals, claiming the record in just his third season as a Cyclone. While known for his defensive prowess, Lipsey was an all-around contributor and his presence was impactful toward the Cyclones’ success, often playing through various ailments throughout the season.
Gilbert was the Cyclones’ second-highest scorer, averaging 13.8 points per game. He also had 3.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game, while shooting 48.4% on the floor.
