CLEMSON — Clemson football added its 13th player in the 2026 class with the commitment of four-star safety Kaden Gebhardt on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder from Olentangy High School in Lewis Center, Ohio, is rated the No. 19 player in the state and the No. 31 safety by the 247Sports Composite rankings. Gebhardt chose Clemson over Ohio State, Notre Dame and Penn State.
Gebhardt is among seven recruits who have committed to Clemson in the past four days, joining three-star cornerback Marcell Gipson, four-star offensive linemen Adam Guthrie, Grant Wise and Chancellor Barclay, and four-star wide receivers Naeem Burroughs and Connor Salmin. Clemson hosted its “Elite Retreat” this past weekend, where various recruits came to campus.
In his junior season, Gebhardt recorded 94 tackles, two interceptions, five pass deflections and one fumble recovery in 11 games, according to Max Preps.
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney’s 2026 class is ranked No. 3 nationally. It has eight four-star recruits, four three-stars and one player who isn’t rated.
