The recruiting trail is heating up for LSU football with several spring visits on the horizon. This weekend, the Tigers will host one of the top pass rushers in the 2026 class.
According to On3’s Chad Simmons, four-star EDGE Asharri Charles is visiting LSU on March 14. It’s one of several big time visits lined up for Charles in the coming weeks. After LSU, Charles will make stops at Miami, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Colorado, and Penn State.
Per 247Sports, Charles is the No. 12 ranked pass rusher in the class. On3’s Industry Ratings slot Charles as the No. 21 ranked EDGE in the class and the No. 24 ranked recruit in the state of Florida.
LSU defensive ends coach Kevin Peoples is leading the charge on Charles’ recruitment. LSU has stiff competition for the Florida prospect, but the Tigers are in the thick of the race and getting Charles’ first spring visit.
LSU’s 2026 recruiting class ranks No. 3 in the country, but the Tigers are yet to add an edge rusher to the mix. On the defensive side of the ball, LSU has commitments from defensive lineman Richard Anderson and safety Aiden Hall.
