UCF releases 2025 spring football roster, new jersey numbers

UCF football may need to pass out name tags this week as the Knights get set to open spring camp on Tuesday.

Not only are there 10 new coaches, including head coach Scott Frost, but the roster features 38 newcomers, many of whom arrived through the transfer portal.

Quarterbacks Tayven Jackson (Indiana) and Cam Fancher (FAU), running back Jaden Nixon (Western Michigan), receivers Ric’Darious Farmer (West Virginia) and Marcus Burke (Florida) and offensive linemen Gaard Memmelaar (Washington) and Preston Cushman (Ole Miss) are among the new offensive notables.

Edge rusher Sincere Edwards (Pittsburgh), defensive tackles RJ Jackson Jr. (Tulsa) and Horace Lockett Jr. (Georgia Tech), and defensive backs Brandon Jacob (Maryland), Jaeden Gould (Syracuse) and Jayden Bellamy (Syracuse) are on the defensive side.

The school released its spring roster with uniform numbers on Monday.

Tight end Kylan Fox, edge rusher Nyjalik Kelly and offensive lineman Shaheem Hill are the only players switching numbers, with Fox swapping No. 6 for No. 1, Kelly going from No. 11 to No. 9 and Hill taking No. 63 after wearing No. 64 last season.
