Auburn WR Eric Singleton listed among top impact transfers from USA TODAY Sports

Following the 2024 season, it was obvious to many that Auburn’s offense needed a spark. Hugh Freeze and his staff may have found just that in Georgia Tech transfer Eric Singleton.

Singleton led the Yellow Jackets in receiving yards over the last two seasons, totaling 1,468 yards and nine touchdowns on 104 catches. He joins a talented receiver room with rising sophomores Cam Coleman, Malcolm Simmons, and Perry Thompson. Mix those talented players in with a new quarterback in former five-star Jackson Arnold could send Auburn to new heights this season.

Paul Myerberg recently included Singleton in his list of 10 players from college football’s transfer portal that will have biggest impact in 2025, placing him at No. 6. Myerberg feels that Singleton could provide the jolt that Auburn’s offense needs to be successful.

Singleton is one transfer capable of transforming Auburn’s offense, along with former Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold. Georgia Tech’s leading receiver in each of the past two seasons, Singleton will join sophomore Cam Coleman to give the Tigers a very strong one-two punch to spark the passing game.

Auburn finished the season ranked No. 12 in the SEC in scoring offense with 27.7 points per game, and No. 6 in passing with 263.9 yards per game. Freeze is looking to boost both stats this season with a new quarterback, a boosted wide receiver room, and an experienced offensive line with two new transfers.
