Lagway, Tebow featured on EA Sports College Football 26 cover

Things are starting to circulate for this year’s EA Sports College Football 26 video game and Florida Gators football fans have extra reasons to be excited.

The upcoming Deluxe Edition of the game is set to feature a lineup of college football’s brightest stars, including Gators football quarterback DJ Lagway, on the cover.

This doesn’t come as a surprise after Lagway’s impressive freshman campaign where he held a 6-1 record as a starter and threw for 1,915 yards with a completion percentage of 59.9% and tallied 12 touchdowns. Lagway’s strength was his deep ball accuracy, ranking third among all FBS passers with a 95.8 passing grade on deep balls.

But Lagway isn’t the only Gator being represented on the cover. Florida football’s two-time national champion and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow is also featured on this year’s cover.

This is Tebow’s second time being featured on the game’s cover, making him the first person to be shown on the cover multiple years (Previously on the cover of NCAA Football 11).

Other athletes that are featured on the cover include Bryce Underwood (Michigan Wolverines), Garrett Nussmeier (LSU Tigers), Jeremiyah Love (Notre Dame Fighting Irish), Ryan Williams (Alabama Crimson Tide), Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State Buckeyes), Caleb Downs (Ohio State Buckeyes), Sam Leavitt (Arizona State Sun Devils) and Dylan Stewart (South Carolina Gamecocks).
