The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are adding a West Virginia offensive assistant coach as a quality control coach to their coaching staff. Blaine Stewart will be leaving Rich Rodriguez’s staff to return to the NFL and be apart of Joish Grizzard’s offensive staff.
Stewart was the inside wide receivers coach during his time at West Virginia, he had also coached tight ends prior.
Stewart was born and raised on Morgantown and was the son of legendary West Virginia head coach Bill Stewart. He was previously in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers for five seasons. In his first two seasons on Mike Tomlin’s staff, Blaine Stewart worked quality control for the defensive and special teams units. He also coached the defense and their scout team as well as working to install gameplans and notes on opponents.
Stewart played college football at James Madison, which was in the FCS at the time before being in the FBS now.
