Victor Valley prevails in the HD All-Star Classic football game

A monstrous offensive line will certainly do wonders for most teams with talented ball runners. 

That sure was the case Saturday afternoon in the HD All-Star Classic football game, which saw the Victor Valley squad pull off a 34-0 victory over the team composed of players from across the Antelope Valley. 

The Victor Valley squad scored five rushing touchdowns, behind a towering line that included three NCAA Division 1 bound linemen in Apple Valley’s Jonah Leaupeptele, Granite Hills’ Abu Fofanah and Oak Hills’ Joseph James. 

“This was too much fun today,” said Silverado running back Dallas Kincherlow, who scored a pair of rushing touchdowns. “This offensive line is too good, too big. It was fun to get in behind them, get small, get lost in there and take off.” 

That offensive line also allowed Barstow quarterback Dwayne Williams to score a pair of rushing touchdowns and showcase just why he was voted the Desert Sky League’s Most Valuable Player. 

Williams was also named the game’s MVP, receiving a $250 scholarship check at the 50-yard line following the action. 

“It was so much fun to play with people from all different schools, having fun getting to know each other. At the end of the day, it’s all love and just football,” Williams said. 

Defensive showcase

The Victor Valley squad didn’t give up much yardage to the Antelope Valley thanks in part to Oak Hills linebacker Jacob Macias patrolling the middle of the field. The Mojave River League’s Defensive Player of the Year came up with one of four turnovers for the Victor Valley squad.
