Notre Dame returns Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa — to the front office

The Fighting Irish alum will be working on recruiting.

Notre Dame will welcome a former player into its front-office ranks as part of the postseason personnel shuffle.

In addition to making the hiring of Jourdan Blake official, the Fighting Irish have announced that alum Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa will be working for the team as Director of Recruiting Advancement.

Ariella Ellis joins as Director of On-Campus Recruiting.

New general manager Mike Martin is filling out his staff just in time for spring ball. Martin replaced Chad Bowden, who decamped for rival USC.

With Notre Dame looking to return to the College Football Playoff — and perhaps to win the national championship, instead of falling just short as the Irish did last season — the strength of the front office will be just as important as the quality of coaching, especially in the era of NIL.

Tagovailoa-Amosa played five years at Notre Dame as a defensive lineman. He had 79 tackles — 49 solo — forced two fumbles and recovered four, including one for a touchdown. He also had five sacks.

He signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2022 but did not make the team. He was on the practice squad before being placed on the injured list. He worked for the LSU Tigers last season as a graduate assistant, coaching the defensive side of the ball.

We are excited to announce some updates and new additions to our football personnel staff ☘️
