LSU lands 5-star WR Tristen Keys, No. 2 WR recruit in LSU history

LSU football has a habit of putting elite wide receivers into the NFL. In recent years, Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, Malik Nabers, and Brian Thomas Jr. have all come through Baton Rouge.

To develop NFL stars, you have to recruit. The Tigers’ wide receiver recruiting has been top-notch over the years, usually signing several blue-chip pass catchers in every class.

On Wednesday, LSU picked up a commitment from five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys. Per 247Sports and On3, Keys is the No. 1 ranked receiver in the 2026 recruiting class. Keys, a Mississippi prospect, is familiar with LSU’s wide receiver history. He watched Jefferson, Chase, Nabers, and Thomas play for the Tigers. That certainly helped in his recruitment.

With the addition of Keys, LSU’s recruiting class sits at No. 1 in On3’s Industry Rankings.

Signing day is still nine months away, but today, we’ll look at where Keys would rank among wide receiver recruits if he signs with LSU. These rankings are based on 247Sports recruiting ratings in the modern era.
