Michigan’s spring game is in less than a month, and the recruiting calendar is beginning to heat up, with the Wolverines hosting a ton of prospects in the coming weeks. We have the latest recruiting news on today’s Recruiting Roundup, starting with an in-state offensive lineman who has Michigan as one of his final schools.
Four-star OL includes Michigan on top list, sets spring visit
It’s important to own your home state on the recruiting trail, and the Wolverines are trying to do that with 2026 four-star offensive lineman Gregory Patrick. So far, so good, as Patrick recently included Michigan on his top-four list, which also included Michigan State, Notre Dame and Penn State.
The Portage product, who is ranked 174th among 2026 recruits on the 247Sports composite, is set to visit Michigan on April 5, according to 247Sports’ Allen Trieu ($). Patrick most recently visited for the Texas game.
“Offensive line coach Grant Newsome and head coach Sherrone Moore have done a great job here as has off-field staff like Jack Dunaway. The Wolverines have worked themselves into being very real contenders here,” Trieu noted.
Patrick told Trieu he’s set to commit in July. Hopefully that visit in a few weeks can help sway him more towards Ann Arbor.
Four-star OL discusses recent visit
Patrick is far from the only offensive lineman Michigan is pursuing, with the Wolverines hosting 2026 four-star Malakai Lee on a weekend trip that carried into this week.
Lee spoke on that visit with Brice Marich of The Michigan Insider ($), telling Marich he connected with new offensive line analyst Juan Castillo and loved his NFL experience. He also said offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey made a great first impression, and he also connected with Bryce Underwood.
