USC target running back Deshonne Redeaux sets commitment date

USC football could soon add to its local recruiting haul for 2026.

USC recruiting has been red hot of late under new general manager Chad Bowden. On Friday, the Trojans learned the date that one of their latest targets will announce his commitment. On Friday, four-star running back Deshonne Redeaux told On3 Sports that he will announce his school choice on April 5. On3 currently projects USC as the heavy favorite to land Redeaux.

Redeaux attends Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California. 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 164 overall player and the No. 12 running back in the class of 2026.

USC currently holds the No. 1 recruiting class in the country for the 2026 cycle. The Trojans are hoping that they can continue to add to their strong class with the addition of Redeaux. It is not lost on anyone that USC has begun to lock down Southern California on the recruiting trail, the very thing the program had failed to do in previous seasons under coach Lincoln Riley. Chad Bowden is restoring USC’s recruiting track record in ways Riley had failed to do before Bowden came aboard as general manager. This is yet another sign that USC has its recruiting house in order … and that the Trojans were caught flat-footed in 2023 and 2024.
