A look at updated 2025 SEC baseball power rankings

The 2025 college baseball season enters the third week in SEC play. Tennessee (22-2, 5-1 SEC) remains ranked No. 1 nationally for a fifth consecutive week in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.

The Vols suffered their first losses of the season last week. East Tennessee State defeated the Vols, 7-6 in 10 innings, before Tennessee won a three-game series at Alabama, 2-1.

Tennessee will play four games this week. The Vols will host Queens on Tuesday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. EDT and can be watched on SEC Network+.

Tennessee’s third SEC series in 2025 will take place, Friday-Sunday, at South Carolina. Friday’s series opener is scheduled for 7 p.m. EDT, while game No. 2 on Saturday will take place at 4 p.m. EDT. Both contests can be watched on SEC Network+.

First pitch for Sunday’s series finale between the Vols and Gamecocks is slated for 5 p.m. EDT and will be televised by SEC Network. Paul Mainieri is in his first season as South Carolina’s head coach after serving in the same capacity at LSU from 2007-21.
