Alabama softball again saw itself move down one spot in national rankings following its series loss to Texas A&M last weekend.
The Crimson Tide moved from No. 24 to No. 25 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll that was released on Tuesday. It comes after Alabama took one of three games in its Southeastern Conference series with the Aggies in College Station, dropping its second conference series of the season.
Texas A&M won the series opener, 5-4, and finale, 9-7, to take the series over the Crimson Tide. Alabama took Game 2 over the Aggies, 2-1.
Alabama is one of 12 SEC teams ranked in the poll, alongside Texas (1), Oklahoma (2), LSU (3), Florida (4), Texas A&M (5), Tennessee (10), South Carolina (11), Arkansas (14), Georgia (17), Mississippi State (18) and Ole Miss (21).
Alabama softball has a midweek contest at North Alabama on Wednesday, March 26 at 6 p.m. CT. After that, the Crimson Tide is set to host Georgia for a three-game SEC series between Friday, March 28 through Sunday, March 30 at Rhoads Stadium.
