Ohio State gets commitment from three-star offensive lineman

Boom! New offensive line coach Tyler Bower is on a roll. Ohio State received a commitment from yet another offensive lineman this spring. Three-star prospect, Tucker Smith from Glendale, Arizona gave his verbal pledge to the Buckeyes on Wednesday evening.

Smith is a versatile player who can play center, guard, or tackle and has experience at all three positions in high school. At 6-foot-5 and 280 pounds, he’ll most likely move inside to either guard or center at the next level. Ohio State was able to secure a commitment from Smith despite only offering a scholarship just last Friday and beat out other schools such as Arizona State, Kansas State, Minnesota, and USC. Smith joins Maxwell Riley and Sam Greer as the third offensive lineman to commit the 2026 class in the last week. Of course, Bowen and Ryan Day still have their eyes on the No. 1 player in the country, Jackson Cantwell who is coming off a recent visit with the Ohio State staff during spring practice.

As one commentator on social media stated, you love to see an offensive lineman from Arizona in cowboy boots when it’s 110 degrees out. He’s got to be a junkyard dog. We love to see it.
