Four-star IOL Nicolas Robertson commits to Texas

The Texas Longhorns added a second #BigHuman to the 2026 class with the commitment of four-star offensive lineman Nicolas Robertson on Saturday during a visit to the Forty Acres, along with other top prospects across multiple classes.

Robertson’s commitment is a big coup for Texas, beating out Houston, LSU, and Texas A&M, four schools that regularly do well with Houston-area players. Other schools among the 20 total offers for Robertson include Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Missouri, Penn State, TCU, Texas Tech, and USC.

He has yet to take an official visit to Austin, but is scheduled to be a part of a star-studded June 20 visit weekend — one that includes the quarterback he will likely protect, No. 22 overall prospect Dia Bell, the nation’s No. 3 quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class.

The 6’3, 335-pound lineman from Spring Klein is one of the top offensive linemen in the state, sitting just behind tackle Max Wright, who joined the Texas class at the beginning of February. A consensus four-star prospect, Robertson is ranked as the No. 331 player nationally and the No. 25 interior offensive lineman, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

The 2026 class has had a relatively slow start compared to some other top programs, something that has become characteristic under Steve Sarkisian, who prefers to recruit elite players down to the wire without pressuring them for early pledges.

Robertson is just the fourth member of the class, joining Bell, Wright, and Shadow Creek wide receiver Chris Stewart in the fold.
