WATCH: FAMU coach James Colzie on details, depth chart during spring camp

The fourth week of Florida A&M’s spring football camp is underway.
And the name of the game is constant progress.
On Tuesday, the Rattlers had their eighth spring practice on Ken Riley Field at Bragg Memorial Stadium.
In his pre-practice team meeting, FAMU head coach James Colzie III said he urged his Rattlers to raise their standards and expectations, practice with urgency, and improve after every rep.
“I thought we did a decent job of that today,” The second-year head coach told the Tallahassee Democrat after Tuesday’s practice.
“I try not to be irresponsible and speak without watching the film, but I thought we could’ve been better today. Other than that, overall, the guys did well. Balanced day, but want to get back and watch the film so I can truly evaluate it.”
FAMU football has two more spring practices this week, including its second scrimmage on Thursday. Then, the Rattlers will practice again on Friday.
Moving forward, Colzie is looking for his team to run plays efficiently, especially on offense.
The Rattlers have a new offensive coordinator, assistant head coach Henry Burris, who was promoted from FAMU’s co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
